(代PO)Registration now open for Academy of Aphasia 2022!

Dear colleague, 

 

Registration is now open for the 60th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Aphasia! The planned program and other information can be found online at https://academyofaphasia2022.vfairs.com, or register directly at https://academyofaphasia2022.vfairs.com/en/registration-form. This hybrid conference will be held in-person in Philadelphia, PA, USA and also online from October 23-25, 2022. 

 

Please see the table at the bottom of this email for registration fees. Register by September 23, 2022 to take advantage of our early bird rate! You can also become a member or pay your annual dues during registration to receive the discounted member rate.

Onsite Attendance & Hotel 

October is a wonderful time to visit Philadelphia! The Notary Hotel is a historic landmark right on Penn Square in the heart of the city, convenient to transportation and many attractions. Discounted rooms can be booked online at https://book.passkey.com/e/50267385 until September 30, 2022 (or while rooms are available). Want to enjoy Philly for longer? Rooms can be booked for dates from October 20-27, 2022, under the discounted rate. If you would like to find a roommate, please visit this google document.

  

Virtual Platform 

Both in-person and online attendees will have full access to the online platform. Posters and recorded talks will be hosted online for 30 days. Access instructions will be sent to all registered attendees by mid-October. Information for attendees and presenters will also be posted on the website

 

Presenter Registration and Instructions 

All posters and platforms must have a presenter registered prior to 10/6/22 or they will be removed from the program. Platforms and in-person posters require in-person registration. If you require a change in format or have not received abstract notification, please email the Program Committee at academyofaphasia.program@gmail.com immediately. Presenters will receive detailed instructions for in-person and online planning by mid-September. 

 

Child Care 

If you would like to take advantage of the free childcare available via our NIDCD funding, please email the Program Committee at academyofaphasia.program@gmail.com as soon as possible, and not later than September 1, 2022.  

 

ASHA CEUs 

ASHA CEUs will be offered to eligible attendees at no additional charge. In-person attendance may earn up to 1.9 CEUs (19 hours), and online attendance may earn up to 1.6 CEUs (16 hours). If you would like to receive CEUs, please be prepared to enter your ASHA number during registration. You must attend the live sessions and complete the overall event survey within 3 days of the conference closing (by October 28th, 2022, at 5:15pm EDT) to receive CEUs. Note that the virtual poster hall and recorded oral presentations will be accessible on the conference website for 30 days; however, these will NOT be eligible for CEUs following October 25, 2022. 

 

NSF and NIDCD 

Program officials from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) will be in attendance.
